Envisioning a self-reliant India with setting up of a Pharma City in Telangana
Hyderabad's Pharma City project has captivated the attention of almost every domestic and global company with an estimated investment capability of about 64,000 crore rupees and generation of around 5.6 lakhs employment opportunities.
IT and industry minister K.T.R. Rao has requested an allocation of 870 crore rupees for the project from the funds worth Rs 4,922 crore dispensed by the central government for the development of infrastructure as per the National Investment and Manufacturing Zone (NIMZ) protocols.
With a befitting aid from the centre, this project aims to promote the manufacturing of pharmaceuticals on a domestic scale to encourage the 'Make In India' campaign, thus strengthening the position of India on a global scale.
