TA-FAANG torrent in India: Igniting the minds
For the past two decades, WITH (Wipro, Infosys, TCS, and HCL) have been ruling the corporate and IT sector with unimaginable employment opportunities being created for the middle-class. They have played the most essential part of the growing economy of India.
They were comfortable in their zone until the tide of TA-FAANG (Tencent, Alibaba, Facebook, Apple, Amazon, Netflix, and Google) invaded India in the recent past. This tide was already in full flow in the US and China for the past decade and a half.
The consumer base and the business model proposed by these giants have succeeded in ruling the hearts of Indian citizens as well. With an exponential growth in technology, TA-FAANG's dream run is on and even our PM Narendra Modi has also recognized the potential of the internet economy and its contribution to the Indian economy. It is quite difficult for any new venture to match the benchmark set by these giants globally!
