Surge in housing launches within Hyderabad in 2020 despite crisis domination
The pandemic failed to restrict Hyderabad in clutches as it fought resiliently to obtain a 42% jump in housing launches while India, as a whole, struggled with a 46% decline. There have been 21,110 units of new launches in 2020 in Hyderabad against 14,840 last year. 16.5% of the total new launches in India has come from Hyderabad itself. Hyderabad has also been a consistent performer in every quarter of 2020 with 5034 launches in Q2, 5396 launches in Q3, and 12,820 units in Q4 despite a volatile economic environment. JLL studies have claimed that the southern markets will lead the recovery process post-pandemic.
